When we started our journey we were very lucky to spend time with some fantastic breeders before making our first purchase. Since then we have been on numerous courses, from BAS training on care, confirmation, breeding and fibre, to courses on showmanship, plus training with three leading camelid vets: Fay Pooley of Scarsdale, Charlie Whitehead of The Vet Shed and Claire Whitehead of UK Alpaca Vet.
In 2026 we hope to become BAS Afillitate trainers but for now, we create our own course matierials based on the training we have undertaken and the experiences from our own journey in alpaca ownership and showing.

Join us for a half day session experiencing these amazing animals, and learning a little more about their basic needs and what you may want to have in place before jumping into the addictive world of ownership.
Basic husbandry
In this session we give you the chance to get hands on. To learn about handling and routine husbandry at a basic level, ensuring you are aware of the monthly activities you would need to undertake.
